White Shadows Painting on canvas

READY TO HANG: The painting White Shadows is a high-quality Giclée art print on canvas. You can choose between two formats: stretched on wooden bars (Gallery Wrap), ready to hang with included hardware, or rolled in a protective tube, ideal for custom framing. The rolled option is more affordable and can help save on costs if you plan to have the canvas framed at any local shop. We offer free shipping to the USA and Canada.
ORIGINAL WALL ART: White Shadows is a unique artwork, created exclusively by PastelBrush and available only through this gallery. It is not part of other art stores’ collections, which gives it a distinct sense of exclusivity and authenticity. This uniqueness makes the piece a distinctive choice for those who value originality over mass-produced designs.
PAINTED LOOK: Experience special feelings! Thanks to our Giclée printing technique, the print is almost like a traditional artwork, with everything from color clarity to brushstroke feel. It’s like having an original painting on your wall, but at a better price.
MADE IN THE USA: The artwork is sold as a high-quality print on Premium Fine Art 380g/m² Cotton Canvas (the same canvas used by traditional artists) and varnished like an original oil painting. Read more information about how we create our minimalist portrait Giclée prints: HERE >>

Description of the Painting

Two figures draped in white emerge from a ground of grey and black, their faces barely resolved — suggestions of features rather than faces, presences rather than portraits. The smaller one holds a bowl, head inclined; the larger stands close, one hand raised to its chin in a gesture that might be thought, might be grief, might be simply the weight of witnessing. Between and behind them, slashes of red interrupt the monochrome like wounds that have not closed, or like the colour that survives when everything else has been stripped away. This is a painting that does not explain itself. It offers two figures in proximity, a gesture of holding, a colour that will not be silenced, and asks the viewer to bring whatever they need to complete it — sorrow, solidarity, recognition, or simply the willingness to stand still in the presence of something unresolved.
