Winter does not empty the world — it clarifies it. Here, bare trees scratch their fine lines against a pale sky like handwriting on vellum, their dark trunks anchoring a scene that might otherwise dissolve entirely into light. The river runs through the centre as a corridor of white and ice-blue, scattered with bold strokes of orange and amber from the grasses at its banks — the last warm things still standing.
